If
you have a Northern Virginia Map Book, St John's United Methodist
Church is shown on page 22, grid G5, at the corner of Woodland Drive
and
Backlick Road, just south of where Edsall Road deadends into Backlick.
FROM I-395--EITHER SOUTH
FROM DC OR NORTH FROM THE CAPITAL
BELTWAY/SPRINGFIELD/I-95 SOUTH:
Take Exit 2 (Edsall Road WEST) off I-395. Follow Edsall
about 1 mile until it deadends into Backlick Road. At the stop
light at
Backlick, be sure you are in the right lane of the two that turn left
onto
Backlick--heading south. Turn left (south) onto Backlick and
stay in the
right lane, just past the funeral home. Take the first right
onto Woodland
Drive. Pass the church on the left and turn left into the parking
lot.
Park in the back of the church and enter through the double doors.
Go up
the stairs and turn right past the kitchen to get to the main meeting
hall.
FROM THE BELTWAY (HEADED SOUTH FROM I-66, DULLES, MONTGOMERY COUNTY)
Take exit 5 (Braddock Road EAST). Go through the light just
off the Beltway at Ravensworth Road. Stay on Braddock another
1.25 miles to
the second light at Backlick Road. Turn right onto Backlick and
stay in the
right lane. Go through the next light at Backlick, past the funeral
home
and turn at the next right onto Woodland Road. Turn back left
into the
church parking lot after you pass the church. Enter through the
double
doors and go up the stairs, turn right past the kitchen to get to the
main
meeting hall.
